    Question: Dialogue with ShivBaba?

“It is about talking with Shiv Baba in paramdham, we have done that .. I mean I had done that while I was on that path. We go there by converting ourselves into a point form of soul and visualize baba in front of us and then we both start talking:
    Soul: Good morning Baba
Supreme Soul: Good morning my sweet child
Soul: Baba I am not feeling good today
    Supreme soul: Why what happened?
Soul: Someone said something really hurtful in office, and I am a little angry on that guy.
Supreme soul: Oh sweetheart, that guy was just playing a role in the drama of your life and in the cosmic drama too. And that too according to his own sanskars. Forgive that soul and move on child.
Soul: Oh baba, you are so great you freed me from anger I had on that guy by giving this answer. Thank you baba, now I have a lot of work, going down on stage back and will see you soon, love you baba.

Well that was my personal example in my own way. But my question is “Are all the replies from Baba are from my own mind and not from Baba, because we feel that when we do? That we are talking with our own mind and not with any supreme being.”

    Thank you for your question.
In Brahma Kumaris a relationship with God is emphasized.
It is a relationship what brings love. It is through love, how a BK is able to follow their ascetic Lifestyle.

Nevertheless, most of the BK followers only know about this God through Murlis or through a BapDada Milan. It is quite impersonal. Very few have actually had a relationship with subtle Brahma.

Could you fall in love with someone who you only know through writings? Could you fall in love with the picture or video of that someone?

Apparently, some have been conditioned to believe that this “feeling” is love.

Therefore, the mind needs to believe that this relationship is in fact going on. That is why, the dialogue that you bring between “you” and “ShivBaba/Brahma Baba” is necessary, otherwise; where is the relationship?

Your mind is making that up, but at the same time; it is believed that you are “connecting with God” through a “feeling” that you get afterwards: You feel more peaceful, calm, happy…. Because you had a conversation with God. You are truly talking to yourself, but it is nice to believe that God is speaking to you and listening to you.

Most individuals cannot recognize what is their minds and what is not, so it is safe to have a structured “chit chat” where you know what God will tell you (good things) and you know your role of a complainer (bad things). That is the arrangement. It works!

Observe that this same procedure is used nowadays through the impersonal use of technology.
For example, someone may call me “their guru” because she likes the stuff that I write here and she likes my picture.
In reality, what comes through  these writings is not me. My picture is not me.
A relationship is needed for “love” to appear. Something personal, to be around that person to get to know the person… this will certainly unmask the fantasy.

This “relationship” is all mental as for most; Brahma Baba and ShivBaba are only beliefs, pictures, writings, a collection of stories told by someone else higher up in the hierarchy.

That is the level of honesty that needs to be accepted before moving on… but the attachment to the idea: “I have found God, I cannot be wrong” is so profound; that it is best to live with the fantasy created by the unobserved mind rather than to acknowledge “what is.”

Nevertheless, The Brahma Kumaris method of a “relationship with God” is necessary for those who need to feel assured that they are in the “right path.”  The power of “yoga” then, is understood as needed baby formula that is given to a baby in his process of growth. You think God, you feel God… you believe God… but most important;  YOU are “special and safe” for you know God.  A time proven way to develop ego, which is necessary to dilute it.

    For the common good.

Hmm… thank you so much for your efforts of writing on this, I needed it. Thanks again.

But love is just unconditional acceptance, if someone accepts Ahnanda the way he/she wants after reading his articles even without seeing his picture or video, is loving Ahnanda and not his artcles/pic/video. But only that person is AWARE about that acceptance for Ahnanda in his/her heart, Ahnanda is not.

      anyways, god bless you…:)

I don’t know but I got this feeling after reading your reply for the second time randomly going through some other articles, and that is actually I am trying to connect with some Godliness with myself only by using this method and not any other supreme BEING sitting up above in paramdham.

    Question:BapDada, what is all about?

“Many things in the bkworld and the reasoning I am able to understand like trying to increase the ego, contrasting and contradicting things baba says in the murli, the various rules and discipline they advise to follow etc.I would love to understand your experience of ‘Bap Dada’ or Baba Milan….what it is all about…from your ‘new’ perspective…?
Apologies for such a long rant…:D”

Thank you for your well elaborated question.
I can only speak about my experience with BapDada from the time I was a BK. Here is an article I wrote a few weeks ago about it.

As I mentioned before, Brahma Kumaris is a path for “self-realization,” but it is not the “only true path.” As a matter of fact, it could be only part of someone’s journey as it was my case. Every journey is different.

Yes, Ahnanda sees from a different perspective. That is your question relating to, but I cannot answer that, for there are many BKs who need to go through the BK experience without yet another belief. It is not a matter of coming with another opinion, belief or “truth.” Every single one of us has to discover that.

Just as you have experienced in your journey. You explained that you did not read any of these writings until recently even though you have been receiving these writings from a long time; similarly, every BK follower needs to experience their own process. It doesn’t mean that “I have the truth,” NO! That is a misleading word, once you realize that our journey is very personal indeed.

To be able to fully take benefit of the BK path as any other path, you may need to be 100% into it. If you were a “pukka” BK, you wouldn’t be reading these things. You could only have the openness to read these things if you aren’t completely satisfied.  BK knowledge calls that as “having doubts,” but there is a huge difference between mental doubts, which could be pacified with “answers,” and feeling unfulfilled. That is where inner honesty becomes important.

As mentioned before, the BK path from my experience; is about increasing the ego, which is necessary before its dissolution.

For those without the experience of ego, they may think that ego is about those things which make you feel “good” such as: “You are a deity, you are a true Brahmin, you are a selected son of God, you are angel, you are an ancestor soul, etc.” But ego also increases in the opposite side, as when someone feels “bad” because they didn’t wake up for Amrit vela, ate meat, had sex, watched mundane TV programs, etc. The labels then will change: “unworthy child, Silver/Copper age soul, cremator, shudra, etc.” That is a way to increase ego as well through the opposite side.

Times have changed. Nowadays everyone could have different information about different religions and compare those teachings. In that, they may appear contradictory, everyone has their take on what God is or isn’t.
That is why it is difficult to be 100% in a particular path to feel its full effect… and that is something that every religion will warn you about: “Don’t listen to anyone else but us.” That is until you are unfulfilled.

The mind, the intellect could prevent us from experiencing the “ego trip” which is necessary for our development.
For instance, I recall some intellectuals saying: “I don’t know how those people can join a cult and do everything they ask them to do. They don’t have a bit of discernment, critical skills…”

Intellectuals do not understand the experience. I wouldn’t have joined the BK movement unless I had an experience with something unknown to me at that time, which my education and mental skills couldn’t explain. That was my experience with Brahma Baba. At that point, I surrendered my “critical skills,” which only help protect the ego, the persona, that “I” created through my beliefs and ideals.

As “avyakt7” I had wonderful experiences with BapDada which helped me go through the BK path. As Ahnanda, I do not need those anymore, just as a child grows up and goes out of his father’s home.

Finally, I am not writing here to ask anyone to leave the BK movement. I am not here to ask you to stay either. I now see, that I am writing here to express my experience with inner honesty. The importance of not lying to ourselves. That is all.
Intellectual knowledge is good, but not enough. Once we learn everything there is (knowledge) we need to unlearn it, to BE by getting out of the mind. That is the way of Life, the process, the journey.

What I think, what you think is not what is important; but to be aware of our journey.

    For the common good.

Beautiful article ! Though you didn’t share your ‘personal’ take 🙂 But it doesn’t matter…
Probably have learned to see the unity and contradictions together…and rather then questioning it…marvel at it 🙂

          Hi Ayakt/Ahnand ??

Don’t understand your fancy names !

Read your article on “There is no fulfillment in the mind” about the intellectual/philoshpher, agree to most of it and also felt as if it was directed at me 🙂

But just a question : Who are you ? an intellectual or philosopher or ??I know these are just labels, what comes closest to defining your writings?
You say “A strong experience, something intense will change a person.” or in other words Life has to be lived not thought about intellectually, totally agree. But then why do you write incessantly, article after article…daily, multiple blogs…whats your motive…a livelihood or you think repeating the same things will make us all finally understand what you have experienced ?
Please take it politely though it may not sound because of the type of question.

          Regards
          Vageesh

For some, I am an intellectual. For others, a philosopher. For the ones who truly know me, I am none of those labels, but a life walker sharing his experiences.

My “motive” is to share my experiences. I don’t know “why” I write incessantly. Perhaps, I have too much free time in my hands…. 🙂
Oh… one more thing. These writings are not for you or for me… for us, all of us… whoever has free time to read them.. 🙂

What do you exactly mean when you say “i”
          am not..
‘i’ is used to denote our own self, ‘you’ to the person in front of us, ‘he’ to a third person..
          what is your point ?

You will find out when “you ” are there. Right now observe how much you want to understand Life and being through words.

Shalini the point is that what you have said is true for practical purposes…as a method of identification but we tend to carry the same feeling in our minds…as if ‘I’ am just myself..separate from anything else…existing almost in isolation and limited to just’I’…if you observe deeply you can see the unity of everything and that ‘I’ that we think exist actually doesn’t….sorry for being so contradicting and confusing..:)…just trying my best to express that feeling

It doesn’t matter to me much…just a curiosity if tht feeling stays…( the seeker or greed inside me talking probably)….secondly u dismiss something as neo intellectual…at the same time indulge in something similar…. stands out … showing a bit of lack of compassion…which is strange… probably not inline with your writings…just checking is it something i won’t understand now or is there a lack of honesty or transparency on your part……hehe.
              .i know a stupid question:)

Do you know that we are souls or you just believe that we are souls? Big difference.
If you knew, we were souls… then to know that “I am not,” will make lots of sense… You want to know if romance is an illusion.. You will find out once you know if the one having the illusion, is an illusion or not. 🙂
